See where institutional money shows conviction.

ConvictionIQ turns every 13F filing into crowding, conviction and rotation signals. Map any stock's holders, trace any fund across 20 quarters, or ask the AI agent in plain English.

The problem

13F data is public. Reading it well is not.

Every quarter, thousands of managers disclose their long books. Most teams still piece it together by hand.

You find crowding late

A name looks cheap until you learn half the Street owns it. By then the exit is narrow.

Size isn't conviction

A big position at an index giant means little. A new top-10 at a concentrated fund means a lot. Raw filings treat them the same.

Rotation hides in the diffs

Who exited, who trimmed, who came back smaller. Spotting it means lining up quarters in a spreadsheet.

How it works

From filing to signal in four moves.

  1. Pick a stock or a fund

Search any ticker or 13F filer. The graph loads its holders or its positions instantly.

  2. Read the flows

Green is buying, red is selling, grey is flat. Line weight shows size. Nothing to decode.

  3. Scrub through time

Step or play through 20 quarters and watch positions build, trim and rotate.

  4. Ask, then export

Ask the AI agent a follow-up in plain English. Pull any table to CSV for your model.

The signals

Three signals. One view.

Crowding

Know how full the trade is

See holder count, who is adding, who is trimming and how concentrated the buying is. Spot a one-buyer rally before you size into it.

  • Increasing vs reducing holders, per quarter
  • Top buyer and top seller share of flow
  • Exclude the top buyer to see what is left

Conviction

Separate real bets from index weight

A conviction z-score scores each move against the fund's own history, so a concentrated manager's new position stands out from routine rebalancing.

  • Z-score on every position change
  • Manager style, concentration and size tags
  • Largest positions and largest changes side by side

Rotation

Watch a book turn over, quarter by quarter

Line up any fund's positions across quarters. Exits, trims, re-entries and new names show up in one table instead of four filings.

  • Entry, add, trim and exit labels
  • Net change in units and percent

Questions, answered.

13F data is 45 days old. Why does it matter?

Positions at concentrated funds tend to be held for quarters, not days. The lag matters less for crowding and conviction than for timing. ConvictionIQ shows the quarter-end date on every view so you always know what you are looking at.

What does a 13F not show?

13Fs cover long positions in US-listed securities from managers above the SEC reporting threshold. They omit shorts, most non-US holdings and cash. We say so on the page, and we never present a 13F book as a full portfolio.

How is the conviction score calculated?

Each position change is scored against that manager's own history of changes, so a move is judged relative to how the fund usually trades. The method is documented in the app.

Why do you show units instead of dollars?

Split-adjusted units make changes comparable across quarters without price moves distorting them. Dollar value and portfolio weight are shown where they help, such as total fund value.

How is this different from free 13F sites?

Free sites list filings. ConvictionIQ scores them: crowding per stock, conviction per move, rotation across quarters, plus a graph, time scrubbing and an AI agent that answers follow-ups.

Can I get the data into my own models?

Yes. Every table exports to CSV. Ask about API access when you request an account.
